My process is transparent and iterative, so you’ll always know when I‘m researching, brainstorming, concepting, sketching, designing and programming.
The client briefs me of what they want and need. Let‘s find some keywords to start with.
— How should your website feel?
— What do you want to express?
— How do we stimulate the user?
Based on your keywords I will start my research. I gather all relevant material for the project.
I usually sketch my wireframes with pen and paper or tools such as Balsamiq or even Photoshop or Illustrator. I first list all of the elements to include on a Web page. I then group related elements, before prioritizing these groups according to importance.
Moodboards are very effective for presenting the direction of the web project. Most clients can easily sign off on the visual part based on moodboards.
I provide clients 3 look and feel moodboards (with Photoshop).
— Do you feel the design?
— Are you able to see the potential?
— Do you see your brand fit into this?
All stages of the project are defined based on the complexity, time required, budget and tools to be use.
This is when I get my headphones and favorite text editor! I provide clients with a separate URL link on my server — which they can always access for the current project status.
So, I have designed, built and tested your new web project, and it‘s finally ready to launch — high five!
